Calvin M. Sipple, 87, of Meyersdale, died May 17, 2015 at Golden Living Center, Meyersdale. Born November 24, 1927 in Hollsopple, the son of Lester R. and Nellie (Aul) Sipple.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife, the former Grace M. Knepper; brothers: William and Ray Sipple; and sister: Elva Engleka.

Survived by his daughters: Diana “Dee” Mikula and husband Tim, Meyersdale; Susanne “Sue” Bittner and husband Clyde, Meyersdale; grandchildren: Christopher Mikula and wife Jill, Justin Mikula and wife Kristy, Clyde Bittner Jr. and fiancée Cindy, Heidi Weide and husband Derek, and Sara Bittner; great grandchildren: Andi, Jordan, Jayden, Kiya, and Kenzy Mikula, Hanna Bittner, Victoria Greer, and Jasmine and Ethan Sipple; and sister: N. Mae Weimer, Jennerstown. Calvin worked for the B & O Railroad for 39 years as a clerk/yardmaster.

He was a member of Amity United Church of Christ, Meyersdale. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Living and Heartland Hospice for their excellent care of Calvin.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Connie Garlick officiating. Interment Fritz Cemetery, Berlin.
