William "Bill" Farrell Hill
December 30, 1943- February 23, 2024
It is with great sadness to inform everyone of Bill's death. His passing came suddenly and quickly on the afternoon of February 23, 2024 at his home in Meyersdale, PA. Bill was one of the most caring and kind humans to have ever graced this world with his presence. Anyone that knew him would agree that his plight in life was to make all those he encountered feel included and accepted.Who, having been, born in Texas, he truly exemplified the phrase "everything in fact was made bigger in Texas" in true fashion. From his six foot three inch tall stature, his oversized heart and his supersized brain that overflowed with knowledge, he always remianed humble. He truly appreciated the simpler things in life. Some of his favorite pastimes were ones that many often take for granted. From creating comforting meals in the kitchen with friends, the knowledge gained from each new book, the joy he experienced in nature and the great outdoors, coasting down a mountain on a motorcycle, the ethereal feelings brought on by the sound of music, or the calming effect that waves crashing on the shore provided him, it was always more than enough. He constantly boasted that his greatest success was not that of his own, but that of his children and, through them, his grandchildren. He never measured his wealth in the tangible things that could be held in his hands but, in the relationships he shared with his family, friends and all of those lucky enough to know him. He will be a person that is sorely missed and thought of in great regard. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Through them his legacy will not be lost, but continue to flourish and thrive in his memory.
